Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 61 - Beautiful Blogger Award

Whoohooo - I received an award; how cool is that!!!

LISA honored me with an awarded yesterday - Thanks again Lisa!

This is my second blog award and I am very happy to have received it. Certainly credit goes back to all whom I blog back and forth with as together we make this experience called blogging worth our time and truly find it enjoyable.

This award has some rules to follow, so let me get down to business.

Rule #1…When you receive/accept this award you must then pass the award on to 7 other bloggers you consider to be beautiful bloggers. Just 7 huh, well here are 7 bloggers that are certainly deserving. Certainly I could have named many others. In no particular order here are the 7 whom I am honoring...

Amy
Kimmi
Carla
Debbie
Mertle
Vinny
Ron

<< After awarding this to Jody & FiTCETERA they informed me that they have received it already (not surprised) so I saw it only fitting to honor other beautifl bloggers with it >>

I don't think any of them have received this award, I didn't see it posted on their blogs. But if I was wrong and you have it already let me know and I will award to another.

Rule #2… You have to list 7 things about yourself that others did not know. That should be easy, I think. Here are my 7....

1... I collect hot sauce, my collection is just under 300 bottles and growing. I spent ALLOT of $$$$ on custom shelving for them in our kitchen (I'll share some photos soon)

2... I picked at earning my bachelors degree for 19 years (graduated in 2007 w/ a B.S. in Technical Management)

3… I was in line awaiting my omelet at my employer's cafeteria when 9-11-2001 went down. The cafeteria server (who I despised) told me that a plane flew into the WTC and I said, "Yeah, right. Are my eggs done yet?" Imagine my horror when I got back to my desk and everyone around me is dialed into CNN, FOX, etc. websites streaming news and photos of the WTC on fire. I never did eat that omelet.

4... I met the Beast, battled the Beast, and Kicked it's A$$, I am a cancer survivor (colon - 2001)

5… I made a promise to my Grandmother just before she died (1996) that I shall be alive when the Chicago Cubs win their next World Series title. Today I joke about this and tell people that I made a pact with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named to be alive when the Cubs win their next World Series title (Harry Potter fans will appreciate that)

6... I ate a 36 ounce steak to celebrate the news that we were pregnant with my son (1993)

7... I am a US Marine (active duty 1983-87 honorably discharged)

Have a Beautiful Day!

  6. Jody - I searched your site but must have missed you receiving the award before. By all means shout out that you've been honored again if you desire - all should know just what a Beautiful Blogger you are!

Since you did receive it before I am going to give it out to another blogger as well then, Mertle

Dawn - Thanks, I will get some hot sauce pics up, actually I have the who collection in pictures I think. A hot sauce shelf is just deep enough for a bottle of hot sauce to fit on and it has a lip in front to keep it from accidentally falling forward and off the shelf.

Clyde - Thanks, it was a pleasure to serve and I continue to serve today as a member of the American Legion.

River - Thanks, was going to pass this award to you but saw you received it already, and I wasn't surprised to see you had been so honored before. Happy to be in the club :-)

  9. Thanks so much, Patrick!
After my "Dear Brenda" incident I resolved not to give/receive/participate in blog awards/hops etc. I was scarred by the incident. Please don't think me ungrateful and non-appreciative though. I'm very flattered that you thought me worthy. :D

So I suppose you have Dave's Insanity Sauce. Are there Canadian ones you've heard of and would like to get your mitts on?

I'm dancing with the Beast again for the 4th time right now. Thyroid. I will kick it's butt too! So glad to hear you kicked its ASS!!!

I remember where I was too ... after a beautiful walk in my favorite park I went to the market to buy some produce and the cashiers were all talking about the border being closed (I live in Windsor across from Detroit) because of terrorists flying in to the WTC.

    36oz? Good Gawd, Man! :D

  10. FiT, Not familiar with Dear Brenda or the incident you refer too but if you wish to passon the award no reason is needed, I get it and in noway do i see it as ungrateful.Awared or not you are certainly a Beautifl Blogger. I will pass the award on to someone else who I'd like to honor. Yes, Dave's is on my shelf, several of his versions are. Canada Hot Sauce huh? I'm sure can think of some, I do have a database of my collection - come'on folks, I am an I.T. guy :-) I'll get back to you on that. Whoa, you are on your fouth battle with the beast. Awesome job kicking its ass three times already; that's more than anoyone should have to battle with. One is too many. Working on prayers for you and your fourth battle here.
