Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 282 - FINALLY, IT IS GAME DAY!!!

FINALLY, IT IS GAME DAY!!!
source
Feeling a bit better today. Going to give a bit of exercise a go this morning. Nothing too intense, but I feel the need to move and get the blood flowing before today's main event...
source
What is the main event you ask? Well the NFC Championship game this afternoon between the Chicago Bears and that team from Wisconsin, they dress in puke-green and a mule-urine yellow colors. I forget their name but whatever, they will be in Chicago today to challenge the Bears for the right to go to Super Bowl 45. My Prediction: BEARS 23, Packers 21

Game starts at 2pm this afternoon, so plenty of time this morning to get in some exercise; thinking elliptical. We'll see what moves me after breakfast.

There is another football game on this evening, the Jets at the Steelers. My voice may be shot by the time they kick off. My blood pressure may be at an all time high. But I'll do my best to settle back down to follow that game. My Prediction: Jets 29, Steelers 20

What about you, have any predictions?
Or, if not following the NFL just what are you doing today?

Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!

  1. I will predict that the whole day will go by without anyone of us watching the big game. LOL My husband isn't into sports and neither am I. Not professional sports anyway. When someone we know personally is playing then we are interested. Have fun and enjoy your game! Probably going to work on next week's assignments for class and then work on whatever new exercises come with the challenge this week.

  2. I will say go bears if they make it to the superbowl - but for this game I am going to root for Charles Woodson.

  3. My prediction? That churches throughout Chicagoland will be filled to capacity today ... all those Bear fans praying for a miracle.

    Sorry, I'm a Packer backer, Patrick. :)

    Still love me?

  5. Jets 24, Steelers 23. This comes down to a FG, I think.

  6. I have to admit that I'm not watching - given that I'm both Canadian and a non-sports follower.

Today, I'll be doing my long run of 16.1km (10mi, and I must admit that I added the 0.1 when I did the conversion to find out how many miles it is and realized I could hit 10). I predict I'll finish it in about 2 hours.

  7. Green Bay/Pittsburgh Superbowl. It's a prediction, not a wish. No exercise for me today, and a donut, YES A DONUT for breakfast.

  8. Wow, you guys really get into it. Team spirit is awesome and fun. Last night was game night or us NHL - the Canucks lost in the shoot-out, but we're still doing well. Go Canucks Go and Go Bears Go.

  9. If you jump up & down & scream & get all hot & crazy (ask your wife about that), you burn more calories! :-)

Don't follow... out to enjoy the beautiful weather here.. sorry, but I must!

  10. I predict all the endorphins rushing through your body have made you feel GREAT today! ;-)

  12. Patrick, sorry about the Bears. I have followed three teams - my hometown Philadelphia Eagles, my college town Buffalo Bills, and my current home Seattle Seahawks - and am 0 for 7 in Super Bowls, so I know the awful sting of playoff disappointment. On another note, I saw a guy in the "chain gang" who looked a lot like you. Moonlighting at Soldier Field?

  13. GOOOO STEELERS!!! They're my team, so I'm naturally happy that they won.

Sorry about your Bears though. That's a bummer. it's been so long since they have been to the superbowl that I was rooting for them to make it.

  14. Sorry about the Bears! Although I think Caleb Hanie was impressive!

BTW: I have never been a Packers fan-just a fan of good football. Honestly, neither the Bears nor the Packers played well. But, I know how it hurts to lose the NFC Championship-I am a Vikes fan!
