Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 267 - NSV Saturday

Wishing a great day to all of you. A busy Saturday, weekend, planned here. Just a quick post to share an NSV from this past week.

In the past I have shared NSV's regarding my belt and punching holes in them; it is a common NSV for those who lose weight consistently over time. I have since purchased a new belt which I wear at work. It has 7 holes and immediately I needed to use it to the 5th hole, leaving me only 2 more holes to lose into.

This week I started using that 6th hole. In the past I've moved it to the 6th hole but it wasn't comfortable enough to use daily. Now, I declare computability on hole 6!

Have any NSV to share?

  5. This is probably the best NSV - so great for your health. Keep up the great work, Patrick!

Assume you're excited about the Bears. We've got the Seahawks today out here, and my hometown Eagles. Funny how I'm optimistic about the Hawks (nothing to lose) and pessimistic about the Eagles (everything to lose).

  7. That belt is going to be more like a wrap when you are done!

  8. WOOT! does your old belt go around you twice yet? That would be a fantastic NSV for the future.

My NSV is that I ran TWO 15min segments at running club today. Not fast by any means but I didn't walk!

  10. Congrats Patrick!!

I guess my victories for this past week are 1) having stable blood sugars all week and 2) diligently sticking to my eating plan all week and not being hungry AND 3) dealing with emotions in healhy ways and not eating them.

Not big weight loss victories..but all of which are leading that way. Tomorrow is my weigh in and I know it'll be a decent loss. Can't wait!!

  11. Love those NSV's, Patrick. I can never get enough. Everything is a non-scale victory for me these days -- a big one for me is not weighing myself constantly and making smart choices, but most of all THINKING before I do.

  13. Great NSV, Patrick! Tonight at Peter Luger, I was able to sit comfortably in the booth side of our table, and not have to ask to switch seats with my friend. :0)
