Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 287 - I Imagine It Is Real

Just wanted to share something I saw yesterday, a t-shirt with this on it:

Believe that anything you can imagine, you can make real.

Not certain of the origin of the quote but I think it was a recent slogan for Sony. Regardless, I like it... And I am imagining the following....

I imagine myself being able to walk on the beach (or wherever) shirtless and feel good about myself, void of the self-consciousness that plagues me today.

I imagine breeding a fat-free pig with all the flavor of a fat-fat pig.

I imagine all of those physical activities I was able to do in my 20's I will again be able to do in my 40's and beyond (not at the same times/pace/levels, but be able to do them start to finish).

I imagine the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series (Ok, there is nothing I can do to make this happen; a boy can dream).

I imagine earning my Masters Degree.

I imagine documenting all the inflections of the word 'dude'; I hear there are more than 30

I imagine celebrating my 50th wedding anniversary in 2049.

I imagine never again doubting my ability to be healthy, or anything else I believe I can be.

What do you imagine?

Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!

  1. I imagine some day being able to afford surgery to remove my loose skin. That is my current dream. I love "Believe". I actually have a silver band ring that says believe on it and I never take it off. It symbolizes a lot of different things to me.

  2. I imagine/dream/pursue that one day I am my own boss and have all the time in the world I want to spend with my family and to travel. That is what I imagine every day!

  3. I like it. Reminds me of my grandpas favorite "Whether you think you can, or think you can't . . . you're right."

  4. I imagine wearing wonderful downsized dresses and outfits to my son;s wedding and other wedding related events.

I imagine walking down and up again in the Grand Canyon.

    I imagine not getting diabetes.

I imagine a bike road trip.

    I imagine fitness.

    have a great weekend!

  5. I imagine life with an empty nest as adventure filled, rather than sad:)

  6. I imagine myself crossing the finish line of a half-marathon with a smile on my face and my family cheering me on.

I imagine sitting with clients and helping them with their nutritional needs.

You always get me thinking, thank you.

  7. The Cub season will be like heaven in Two thousand eleven!

  8. I image being recovered and back to my old energetic self. I need to believe that isn't to far off. Loved your list Patrick I look forward to still being around to see you accomblish everything.

  9. A imagine a happy, healthy life with my family. :o)

  10. I imagine being able to run, and being able to open my closet door and picking anything i want because it all fits!

  11. DUDE-there is a double-muscled clone of animals-I think I have seen a steer and sheep. Look it up-they are crazy buff and lowfat!
I imagine winning the lottery. Sorry I guess I should pick something I can control. I imagine me BUYING the winning lottery ticket.
And I imagine me 100% satisfied-probably have a better chance at the lottery though... ;-)

    Polar's Mom

  12. If you create that fat-free/tastes like full fat pig, I know about 16 million Cubans who will thank you. :D We are always roasting one of those babies to celebrate. the full fat ones.... (Like Christmas Eve).

My 50th anniversary will be in 2033...I might be alive! :)

  13. I imagine walking into a normal-sized clothing store next year after I lose 100 pounds. And I imagine being able to run and play with my children, without losing my breath. :)

  14. That quote does come from Sony...i have a t-shirt that my DH brought home from work that says that(he happens to work at sony, lol)!!!

I imagine all my extra skin that is hanging GONE!

I imagine a call for an interview soon and i get the job! (woot, woot)

  15. I imagine a world where people get along (sorry, had to do that). I imagine having a great wardrobe that I can wear from year to year. I imagine a world without texting :)

  16. I imagine my first 10K. I imagine getting my black belt. I imagine playing catch with my grandkids. I imagine OU winning a title, again. I imagine traveling the world and not looking like a fat American in my retirement. I imagine doing LOTS more things......things I can't imagine yet!

  17. I tried this once - it worked, then it stopped working.Maybe I should try again?
    (poke, btw)

  18. Love this Patrick.. you are making your imagines reality!

I imagine being a fitness model & inspiring young people that you can age & not look like sh*t! :-)
