Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 288 - Saturday Scrapbook

Saturday is here, and this weekend I am NOT SICK, sweeeet! So looking forward to some fun this weekend, although I have nothing planned at all... what about you, any plans?

Today I have a bunch of photos for you. Ok, not a bunch, just a few. More than 1, less than 10 is what I am thinking; let's see how many I find. Here we go...

Up top there you see a shot of me from yesterday, just decided to pose & shoot in the mirror. That is not a pic to celebrate any milestone being achieved, nope; it is just a pic for the fun of it. Below here is another from the side striking a dopey smile...

I did not eat this apple-fritter for breakfast...

Instead I ate this Chobani with fruit concoction...

A peek into one of my desk drawers at work, Hot Sauce & Excedrin are essential tools of the trade;
also the name of a bad Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute garage-band...

Oh come on, BOIL ALREADY...
My truck dashboard is where Eeyore calls home...
Crime is up and as well so is the attitude of this victim...

Last but not least, my weights-workout board...
Always a work in progress...
with the addition of free weight equipment you can see I am still noodling routines.
I also have scribbled in a core-routine including planks inspired by Yum Yucky.
Ignore the shopping list there, I was pondering a new creation; the Adult Ho-Ho Smoothie.

Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!

  1. A great weekend to you too, Patrick. I'm planning to relax mostly but if the weather is as nice as predicted I will be going out to take a walk around the neighbor hood to enjoy the sunshine. So far, the sun isn't showing but I'm still hoping...:)

  2. You look great. Love the pics, esp the bike one. TOO funny. You should send that in to David Letterman. I have a wedding tonight so my plan is NO CAKE.

  3. Her plans are inspiring me too! I sooo am going to do some when I can work my core again. I suspect I will be pretty wimpy at first since by then it will have been over two months with NO core work!

  4. Oh I love that bike funny. And your look great!
I love doing planks( well not love, but love what they do to my core) The instructor i follow will add them in from time to time.

No plans except a visit to the library to hopefully pick up some good books.

  5. You look fantastic, Patrick! You need to submit that bike poster to ;)

  6. The former owner of the bike needs some serious therapy!

  7. Okay Twiggy, big UPS to you and your success. Keep charging!!! BTW: I buy commercial bottle of Frank's Red Hot because I put on everything but my coffee! Good stuff. Have a great weekend.

  8. You look great Patrick! Love that poster

  9. Gotta say I was thinking that apple fritter looked pretty good until I saw the Chobani with fruit concoction...YUMMY! Love yogurt and fruit and cereal..

  10. I love Chobani! I mix it with low fat granola! You have the best posts...

  11. You're lookin' hot, Patrick!

My plans are to take my little dog on a long walk around the neighborhood. He has been eating too many treats and needs a little cardio.

    Have a great weekend!

  12. I went back and looked at your progress pics. You are looking really great Patrick. Hope you have a great weekend.

  13. Love the pics! :o) Have a great weekend!

  14. Who is that skinny guy? I don't recognize him. You've come a long way, Patrick, and all the while encouraging us along the way. You are AWESOME. So happy for you.

Love the picture of the boiling egg - that struck my funny bone - and the bike poster too.

  18. LOL, I saw the pic of the apple fritter and had to take a double-take to make sure you didn't actually eat it. Great post as always, Patrick. Cheers, Rick

  19. So it's my turn. From the cold the beginning of the month, to the migraine in the middle of the month to the flu this weekend. YUCK!!! Daycare has been sharing their germs with me. Usually I don't get anything but...well not this month. Maybe that means February will be sickness free.
I hope you have a great weekend. I loved all your pictures.
    Take care and God Bless!!

  20. Forgot to say - You ar so friggin organized! Me, not so much!
