No real big plans this weekend. My wife has been fighting a naggy cold all week so depending on how she feels when she wakes up that will go a ways to determining whether it is a quiet weekend at home or if we venture out a ways.
Exercise is in my plans for this weekend. I did not get in as much during the week as I wanted. Now I know I cannot make up for lost exercise and I don't plan to try. But I want this weekend to include a couple of excellent work outs because I need them and I get a great rush at the end of a work out which was challenging, executed well and leaves me sweating.
Yesterday I received a very sweet surprise in the form of The Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award which Stephanie of She's In There Somewhere honored me with. I must say that is one delicious award.
With this award I need to list five guilty pleasures and then pass this on to three fabulous (& sweet) bloggers that I know and love; so here we go...
Let me do this backwards and hit up the trio of sweet bloggers to honor:
Karen @ Sunshine's Heart
MandaPanda @ Candyland To Bandland
Patsy @ Musings on a 100+ Weight Loss Journey
So, five guilty pleasures, hhmmm...

We served wings at our wedding.
Wings are part of just about every party we host.
Even on my weight losing ways I enjoy wings once a week.

OMG, the best ice cream this side of Neptune.
Pretzels in Ice Cream - BRILLIANT!

My Grandma would make this for me every year at the holidays.
That was the only time of year I got this treat.
These days my wife & daughter make it for me at the holidays.
They come real close to Grandma's work, close.

Labatt Blue, my favorite beer on the planet.
Yep, I am as patriotic an American as there is, but Americans just can't brew great beer.
Oh we brew some good ones, but great ones, not.
Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!
Have a cold here too... hope you have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteI agree about the beer, although here in MN there is a small brewery called Shells (New Ulm) that has the BEST dark beer.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nod last week with the award, I will post about in next week.
Have a good weekend!
Thank you so much, Patrick. This made me smile on a morning when I'm feeling a bit blue. Hugs and many thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the award! :o)
ReplyDeleteyes you are Patrick, irresistibly sweet :)
ReplyDeleteer ah, if I can just spell it now :?
Hope you feel better soon! *Hugs*
ReplyDeleteNo, we can't make up things we missed but we can just keep moving forward like you do! Go Patrick!
ReplyDeleteDid I tell you about the bacon hot sauce I saw on a cooking show!
I love me my weekend cookie treats & it is the weekend!
If bacon is a secret to world peace,
ReplyDeletethen you are the best ambassador!
And Labatt Blue - I have a 6 pack of that myself.
Best beer on the planet.
Cheers to world peace!
Well I always knew that you were incredibly sweet and congrats on the award - irresistible. I'm still cracking up about your remarks on bacon. You and bacon are quite friendly, aren't you? I'm not a beer drinker, but you have to come to Canada for the beer at least :)
ReplyDeleteSometime my friends and I moan about not being American because of all the cheap prices and the variety of foods, but when I read about Chubby Hubby - perhaps I'm safer here in Canada, eh? LOL
I love bacon and Labatt's. We do not have it out here in Montana. I'm so jealous!
ReplyDeleteThe stores don't carry Labatt's. We do have bacon. Realized that wasn't clear. :) Have a great Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI love the bacon thing, and it smells so good when it is cooking..
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes! You win a lot of blog awards. That must mean that you're totally awesome! Congrats!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI joked a lot when I first lost weight that B&N stock plummeted.
ReplyDeleteGOOD LORD I CONSUMED A LOT OF NEW YORK SUPER CHUNK FUDGE IN MY DAY.
I dont think the chubby was yet hubby back then...
Thank you for the award! I love BACON! I ate way too much of it over the weekend but that's why it's a guilty pleasure, no?
