Big Girl Bombshell had her one-year blog anniversary this past week. Making it a year on the blogs is no small feat as I see it. Think of all the bloggers we have seen come and disappear back into a vat of ice cream inside of a month or two. Not Jules, she has had a great year. As I commented to her, If a person can replace embarassment with pride in a year; that is a GREAT year.
Ann over at Ann is Livin' Large also had an 'versary this week, her 100 day'versary. She didn't rest a moment putting together a winner of a 100 day post. Here she jotted 100 ways she has benefitted from eating healthier. Number 10 & 69 are my favorites, check them out.
This week's weigh in concludes a week of inconsistency. I struggled to eat balanced and portioned meals from dawn to dusk and say to day. There weren't any all out binges or collapses, just not the degree of consistency I now expect of myself. Same can be said for exercise. I did get it in this week, but just the minimum amount I look for. None of my workouts, except for one, left me with that accomplished feeling. I sense my mind is in a difficult-to-please mood at the moment, not sure why, so I may be cutting myself short a bit.
As of this morning I have knocked out 52% pounds.
In total 63.5 pounds have been knocked out over twenty-eight weeks, 1.5 of that this week.
Today I weighed in at 256.5 pounds.
Oh Yeah, Have a Great Sunday.
Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!
Patrick, just goes to show you that doing something is better than not.. 1.5 pounds lost... I would say pretty dang good for an inconsistent week! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteWoot!!! Way to go. The way I figure it, you've got to draw inspiration from whatever source is supplying it at the time. You may be feeling ho-hum about your consistency this week, but now is the time to rely on what your scale is telling you! (and I'm drawing my inspiration from YOUR progress right now.)
ReplyDeleteAwesome job! and thanks SO MUCH for the shout out!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the inconsistency boat with you, Patrick. I've been "off" for the past couple of weeks or so. Not off the wagon, just not up to the bar I set for myself. I hope we can get back our normal soon. And congrats on the loss. Any loss is great.
ReplyDeleteWe all have weeks where we just don't put 100% into this journey. You have proved that you can still come out ahead!! Thanks
ReplyDeleteSuzi said it perfectly! Congratulations on another 1.5 lbs GONE, and on reaching 52%. I think your middle guy needs at least a half smile though ... you are more than halfway to your goal!!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have to be perfect, just consistent. You were consistent enough, that you still lost 1.5 lbs. Celebrate!
And thank you for the mention, Patrick. We don't have to look too hard to find reasons this journey makes sense. Keep up the good work!
Over the 50% hump Patrick - nice!
ReplyDeleteWay to go on the solid lose this week Patrick. Inconsistent or not you did enough right to make things move in the right direction so good job.
ReplyDeletePatrick, thanks for your comment. I have been quite burdened with some real-life issues, so I have been unable to do comments as much as I used to. At best, I try to catch up throughout the week by reading, but have not been able to comment much. I hope to change that soon.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your milestone success! You are consistently a great encourager of others and an excellent example for each of us to follow. Keep it up!
You have just described my last couple of weeks...inconsistent! Nothing big and blatant, not one thing... just not giving it the focus and effort it needs, in all areas.
ReplyDeleteBut you did have a l.5 loss! So you are doing some things right, for sure! And you are over halfway there... congrats on that!
Here's to a great new week.
Loretta

oooh SNAP :)
ReplyDeletehere I am preaching CONSISTENCY and youre rocking the non.
all about the approach that works and realizing (for me) that sometimes the NON is the key to shaking things UP in a good way.
