Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 173 - Riddle This Monster

Hello blogger loving - heatlhy craving - exercise wanting - happy folk. Does that sound like you? Sounds to me like a fine way to looked upon as.

Picture riddle for Thursday this week. There you see it. Looks shiny, looks symmetrical. Doesn't look like a liquid or a squid. What is it?

Wednesday was a great day on the exercise front. My son & I made a visit to Lake Andrea to chip away at my personal challenge there. Continuing to work to get around that lake's 2.25 mile loop faster and faster by mixing in more jogging with the walking. Last week we improved our time by 1:51 minutes doing just that.

This week we got after with even more intensity and achieved a monster PR shaving a monster 2:11 to finish in 30:55 minutes. Monster I'm telling you! Um, yeah, I was stunned when I looked at my watch (if you can't see it trust me it says 30:55)...

Cashed out, that was me afterwards. No time to catch my breath however, I had to take care of a little business before breathing, hydrating, celebrating. That done, I wanted to capture an Oh Yeah shot but my 'gasping for air' face over-rode my 'happy and prideful' face. So this is my Oh Yeah shot (why do us bloggers like to take pics in bathrooms? I cropped out as much of the porcelain furniture I could)...

Finally hydrating... my son tried to get a better Oh Yeah shot of me in a more celebratory moment. However this is not much better as I was too thirsty to pose and he was too impatient to wait...

After the exercise we went off to grab a meal & play before going to his high school for a presentation on college prep. Andrew was paying more attention to the baseball game on TV than his game controller where I was focused on the video poker battle between us...

But he didn't need to may much attention to the poker as he was wiping the floor with me as I kept getting hand after hand like this...

Finally, some food...

Have a MONSTER Day!

Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!

  1. I would say it a spring. But to what? The picture looks very similiar to the size of the spring that holds my heavy bag, but zooming in could make it look deceiving. Therefore it could also be zoomed pictuture of a spring similiar to the type in my hand guns. Thats my guess..spring!

Not the slinky type in my opinion.

  2. Congrats on the new PR.....Oh Yeah!! Maybe it's because I haven't had breakfast yet and am hungry, but your picture looks suspiciously like the tines of a fork to me! Have a great day!

  3. Its nice you are doing exercise with your son, good dad-Son time

  4. that would be a lot of tines on a fork . .. spring seems too obvious. Color me clueless.

  5. Great job on your PRs! Those kinds of things keep me going, too--competing against myself. I love the picture your son took (hydrating) because you can see him reflected in the car. Shows father son togetherness at its best--he's working with you as you reach your goals.

My guess is a spiral spring thingie. Too many tines for a fork, but very shiny. . .

  6. Since the obvious forks and springs were taken, I'm going with the front grill of chromed out pickup truck. Or maybe that's just my redneck side shining through...

  7. You are one PR king!!!!!!!!! Congrats Patrick! I just love those pics you take of yourself! Me, I look like something the cat drug in from the rain when I am done with cardio.. not a pretty pic & worse when I finish up the weights after that cardio! :-)

    Great job!

  8. Is it something on a weight machine at the gym?

    You're a great dad..

  9. It is certainly some sort of helical spring. My guess it looks like one on those onld byscilce seats...
You are a PR and workout monster - KEEP IT UP!!!

  10. Lets try that again...
It is certainly some sort of helical spring. My guess it looks like one on those old bicycle seats...
You are a PR and workout monster - KEEP IT UP!!!

  11. Definitely a spring, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what type.

I think bloggers take pictures in bathrooms because that's where we all have mirrors. ;)

And I have to say, you are looking very trim. Great work so far!

  12. A spring found in a common pen?

Sounds like you are doing amazingly! Keep it up!!

  13. Wow, you guys had a great day! Fun ...

I haven't seen a fork with six tines, so I'm going to pass on the freakish fork idea, even though it looks worn like a typical restaurant fork ...

How about, "The (locked) cage bars surrounding the key lime pie dessert in the refrigerator?"

  14. Go you!! You are rocking those PR's :)
I would think a spring from something?

  15. Silverware handles?

Patrick, you definitely are looking better and better. Nice job!! (And duh Bears are doing the same :-)

  16. Wow the pictures of you look great and the food looks wonderful..

  17. I'm going to pass today on the picture guess because I have no idea. Great picture of you, looking younger I think. Great that you and your son are doing the PR together, what a good time too.

  18. Galvanized French Fries? As some sort of trophy to you for staying away from them??? Ok, I really have no clue. But I can never pass up a riddle.

  19. Well done! I have no idea what that picture is....mattress spring?

  20. You know how I love Monsters...
    It looks like something...

  21. goodlordyourock.

I come here to git my MOTIVATION FOR THE DAY.

off to take photos in the bathroom.

    thats what we do yes?
