The Good - It took all of 20 minutes, the spot is gone.
The Bad - I can't get this dressing area wet for a week; that'll make showering & shaving a trick.
The Ugly - I am not supposed to work out, except for walking, for a week - a WEEK! Because when we work out we strain & tend to stress and strain our facial muscles.
Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!
If thats all you can do - Walk Forest walk!!! So this is the end of the spot worries?
ReplyDeleteThe real question is - how much did that monster weigh?
ReplyDeleteMaybe they should've just botoxed your whole face so then you'd be able to exercise without straining muscles. Also I'm not really sure covering the spot with bandaids makes it go away!
ReplyDeleteWell I'm glad it was quick and easy, no more future risk to worry about!
LOL, Walk Forest Walk.
ReplyDeleteI am guessing the spot weighed less than an ounce, so I lost weight today!
Boxtox huh, that would've been a different way to go. For precautionary sake the spot is off now to be analyzed. Next Friday I return to get the surface stitches removed.
You could always venture into the attempt of growing a beard...it works for some people. A rough, rugged sort of thing...just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteAnd the oncologist gave you the "It's nothing" answer right,..
ReplyDeletethink of it as a rest week for your strength training. Glad everything went ok!
ReplyDeleteIt's okay to "just" walk, Patrick. Walking is sort of like training wheels...it's where we all started.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got that spot gone. Hope the lab report is good. Now lace up those shoes!
...but walk FAR.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Allan. That thing was harmless, right?
Good for you! Follow the doctor's orders. Cammy had something on her blog a couple of weeks ago that said that brisk walking is just as good for you as running.
ReplyDeletePatrick, when I was attacked by a dog almost 2 years ago, I could not work out for over a week. I just tightened up my food program & all was good. You will do fine!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update, Patrick. I assume it wasn't cancerous, right? (I know, "unofficially" until the test results confirm things, right?) ... walking is good. No climbing hills, or stairs, Rocky. Let's keep the face pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteSee spot go, see spot disappear, go spot go
ReplyDeleteWalk and walk I shall, you can count on that. As some of you have asked I'll clarify that my family doc, oncologist & the plastic surgeon all agree that this spot did not present itself as being cancerous now yet all advised removing it if for no other reason that I am a cancer survivor. So I have no real apprehension sitting here that this spot will come back from the lab with bad news. We'll know for sure by end of next week.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else.. Walk, walk and more walking. I have had skin cancer and it is nothing to mess with. Having a spot removed is always a good thing.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you for taking care of yourself Patrick!
ReplyDeleteYou'll be a walking fool in no time :) Glad you got it taken care of!
ReplyDeleteGood move, Patrick. Hey, long walks in the late summer, early fall, that sounds very enjoyable, actually.
