Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 154 - Cherry On Top Award

Lanie Painie has honored me with an award yesterday.

Thanks again Lanie! She definitely does have a beautiful blog, I mean, it has allot of orange on it. Orange is my favorite color! She has a bit of 'then some' too, she understands who she is,that she own her own choices including what she eats & how much she moves.

Ok, this award's rules for eligibility are:

1. Answer the question, "If you had one chance to go back and change one thing in your life, would you and what would it be?
This is a really tough question. Certainly I'd change a number of things if I could roll the clock back say 30 years. Some people say they would change nothing in their lives. Seriously, I have doubts there isn't at least one thing all of us can find we'd change if given the chance. Ok, here is mine...

I would have completed my college degree in four years, not the nineteen it took me to do so. Now I know that is not a health related change. But if pressed for one I really have to choose between this and whether or not I should have kissed Tammy on the first date in 1982. A story for another day. Not completing my degree in my early twenties certainly reduced some of my career options early on. Now I did real well to succeed & climb the ladder despite not having a degree for many years, but I often wonder which doors weren't open to me for so long because I didn't have a proper ticket to the dance.

2. Pass on to six people and inform them of the award.
Hhmmm... Six who have beautiful blogs and then some. Ok, here we go:
  1. Liz
  2. Karla
  3. Clyde
  4. Jae
  5. The Heavy Man
  6. Christine

Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!

  1. I agree with you about regrets. It'd be nice not to have any, but realistically, there's gotta be SOMETHING!

Have a great day and keep up the great work!

  3. I have to agree about getting the qualification. Some employers just put their fingers in their ears and close their eyes when you haven't got a degree, despite the skills you may already have. I know my degree is a valuable tool now but seriously, up until the final year of the degree, all the stuff in my computing course i already knew just from reading books and programming practice. It's can be frustrating.

But hey, now we have our tickets! :o)

  5. Awe, thanks, Patrick!!!!

Like you, my regret, other than ExJerk, is not finishing my degree. You did better than I did, I've waited 30 years to go back, but it was the best decision. I'm enjoying it so much more than when I was 18 and clueless.

    Thanks again for the award.

  8. Patrick your post made me laugh today - great minds think alike - I named my blog the same today for the Cherry award. I would have awarded mine to you, but Lanie stole you from me.

  12. "Marty, I'm lost in the time continuum - get me to the flux capacitor!"

Patrick, I think you put a post up and pulled it back because it was early or something. Was going to comment on it - I appreciate how you find new bloggers. Will be following G96 for sure.
