For a good part of last week my wife and daughter we away kicking up in Orlando at Harry Potter World. It was a gift we gave her after she made the National Honor Society last year. She is seventeen and she is a huge HP fanatic.
They brought back lots of goodies including a bunch of chocolate stuff from HP World; frogs, wands, and they stuff seen in the movies. My wife on the other hand is a huge Walt Disney fan. So there was no way she was going to Orlando and not taking in some WDW too.
From there they brought me back the Eeyore you see in the picture there. As I was delirious from all the chocolate in the air I almost ate the poor guy. But at the last minute better senses prevailed and this Eeyore has joined the other 30+ in my collection.
Food porn, been a while since I've shared any, so here is last nights dinner...
Grilled Garlic-Lime Chicken Breast, Minnesota Wild Rice, Hot Love Sauce.
What do you collect as a hobby, if anything?
Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!
I collect happy thoughts!
ReplyDeleteGlad you didn't try to eat Pooh!
Dinner looks great. I used to collect hats but that kind of fell by the wayside. Now, I would have to say I collect unusual shoes. I don't have an extensive collection and of course, I don't collect any I can't actually wear.
ReplyDeleteDinner looks excellent!
ReplyDeleteHandbags and bowls --big antique/vintage bowls, not the clear or plastic from the big box store :)
Dinner does not look all that great - I would have ate Eeyore!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Patrick on holding back!
ReplyDeleteMan that dinner looks YUMMY!
Kudos to your daughter!
freaky. I have quite a few Eeyore's too. I mean, my kid does - yeah, that's it.
ReplyDeleteI try to choose to be more like Tigger than Eeeyore these days, but Eeyore is so much more comfortable.
One guess...you got it. All things panda. Just can't help myself. I haven't bought anything new but do you find that once people know you collect stuff (or think you just really like a particular thing), they start buying it for you? Like your little, scared eeyore there? Great progres, btw. I didn't get to comment on your weigh in post the other day. You're doing so well!
ReplyDeleteGood job staying away from all the treats Patrick!!!
ReplyDeleteI collect fridge magnets from all the places I've visited around the world. My mother in law travels a lot and she has brought me ones from Chile, Germany, Italy, etc!
I collect book marks--small, flat, and reasonably inexpensive. I'm trying NOT to collect musical angels, refrigerator magnets from places we visit, books, creches, and DVDs of my favorite movies. Take care and step away from the chocolate (and Eyore).
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not i love pens and notebooks i'm always adding to my collection :) By the way dinner looks scrumptious!!
ReplyDeleteI am not a collector, what the heck is Hot Love sauce?
ReplyDeleteAaaah!! I am STILL laughing over Anne's commentary! LOL That was hysterical ...
ReplyDeleteThe dinner looks so good to me - and love wild rice (the real stuff, not the boxed white rice with three wild rice grains tossed in there).
I've heard of putting a foot in your mouth, but never your ... um ... "mule"
Sounds like fun was had by all!
I collect photos from my travels...lots of fun memories
ReplyDeleteEeyore probably would have been full of fiber, if nothing else.
ReplyDeleteI don't really collect anything right now. Though, I think I'll start collecting medals and race souvenirs in the future.
"Hot Love sauce"??? Seriously?
ReplyDeleteThat could be a hit at home...
I collect postcards but not obsessively - but I have a lot...
I apparently collect everything, so therefore I have trouble throwing things out because I never know when I might want them.
ReplyDeleteI wanna go too :(
ReplyDelete(I collect movies I guess... I lost some of my collection when I left college before junior year and couldn't ship 3 huge boxes of movies back to Istanbul)
I wouldn't have thought of you as the eeyore type you seem more like a pooh bear to me *smile*.
