Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 312 - Tempt, Taunt & Try

Shamrock shakes, oh they tempt us so.
Especially my wife, she love her a shamrock shake.
She was out of town this past weekend when I bought these.
Brought them home for the kids.
When did they start putting whip cream & cherries on them?

Consider this your public service announcement for the day.
Car seats, yes they can taunt. Recall recently my niece spent a day with us.
Having her with us required me to put the old skills for installing a car seat to use.
Boy, designs sure have changed in a decade.
Took me a solid 5 minutes to install & 10 to uninstall the next day.
I am pretty sure strapping in astronauts is less complicated.

Traffic, definitely a source for trying my patience.
Especially in winter.
Oh this winter picture of my ride in to work this a.m., pretty huh?
Wrong, no Currier and Ives wonderland here.
Just a bunch of impatient soles adding to the commute time via their inability to be patient.

Not sure if you can see the sign in this pic, looks close...
I am game to try many things in life, variety is the spice of life & I like it spicy!
But WTH is eyebrow-threading???
I have no idea, and I don't think I want to know.
Nope, my $5 is staying in my wallet.

Progress, not Perfection people... Make that what you try for this day!
Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!

  1. Your car - Shamrock shakes ... that just seems wrong (lol). Eyebrow threading, for women, Patrick...we have all the luck.

  2. Eyebrow threading as I've seen it is like waxing in public. They have kiosks in the mall, and you sit back as the folks stream, and let a stranger use her hands and mouth to remove hair from your eyebrows...*shudder*

  3. Where's my shake? Those look so good, my favorite is the mocha though (on the rare occasion that I get to drink one of those calorie suckers). I've never had my eyebrows threaded, 5 bucks ain't too bad. And totally agree with you on the car seats. My niece comes over sometimes and its a PITA to get her car seat strapped and ready :/

  4. Wow, you are skilled. Installing a car seat in five minutes is fast in my eyes. Of course, you have experience. I've only tried to install my nephew's car seat a couple of times and both experiences took way over five minutes.

That is some snow you got. We might get some in Seattle this week, so far this morning it's rain with about ten snow flakes.

    Have a good one.

  5. mmm I was just saying that they are out with the shamrock shake now. I might have to get a small one before they go away again.

eyebrow threading doesn't look fun to me either. I have seen them doing it in the mall. I would rather be waxed.

  6. They teach car seat installation as an ellective to fire fighters here. I buddy of mine took the class and the local hospital hired him full time just for that purpose. He works in the birthing area and puts your first car seat in.

  7. Oh yuck on that weather...I hear it may be heading our way too....I would rather it not.

That description of threading from the ninja had me snickering. :)

  8. I had to borrow my mom's carseat when I took my van in to be fixed (my carseat is built in) and it seriously took me no less than 15 minutes to get that thing out of there. Bravo to you!

  10. Now I want a shamrock shake and eyebrow threading is awesome, I think it is anyway. I won't go to those mall kiosks. I go to a real salon and it's better than waxing!

  11. Well I'm not a spring chicken but I just learned about threading. Maybe cuz I live up in the frozen tundra.
Good thing milk shakes aren't to tempting for me.
    Take care Rick. God Bless!!

  12. Eyebrow threading is where they use a very fine thread and wrap it around individual hairs. Never tried it but I might one day.
Never tried the Shamrock shakes and I don't think I will any time soon :)

  15. I just have to say that you should see traffic here in my place on beautiful weather days! All the time! UGH and 2 hours in traffic yesterday to get to LA & with "better traffic", I can make it in 45 minutes to an hour.

AS for eye brow threading - big thing here in my area - and they have places at the malls!
