Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 294 - Tips For Free

source
Everyone needs a tip or two here and there for improving their get-fit game. If it weren't for the many fine tips from my fellow bloggers there is no way I would have had the success I have had thus far. For that I thank you, and allow me to reciprocate with these offerings...

Veggies, many of you don't like them, yet you know you need more. You are just looking at the wrong veg. Turn away from those over ripe ugly choices in the store. Instead go for the baby veg. Just look at those baby carrots there; aren't they cute! How could you now just fall in love with them and want to gobble them up?

You do not have to give up the foods you love. That would be just wrong to deprive yourself completely of the foods that make you smile if not feel food-drunk. However, yes there is a but in the best interest of your butt; those foods you love must be modified into less horrifying looking versions of gluttony. For me Pizza is one of my food loves. And when I indulge, I tame down the damage it can do me by making them into cat shapes. No way these kitties are going to harm you...

Blog and Blog often. But if you think punctuation is not important, think again...

Now you know diet alone is not sufficient over the long haul. Exercise is a MUST. But if you won't take my word for it, maybe the words of a professional cartoonist will resonate stronger with you...

Yes, all of that advice is free. I know, my generosity is priceless.
Put it to good use as you embark on your day today.

  1. I'll add to that - try roasting your veggies if you are not a fan. Seems to me they all taste better that way:)

  2. Terry has ruined many an orange snack for me. Once they have personalities, they are difficult to consume. Nobody plays with food as well as Terry.

Thanks for the advice Patrick. I'll take it to heart

  3. This really made me laugh. Don't worry about me, i love my veggies, baby ones and grown-up ones, but i have to admit i have never had kitty shaped pizzas. I just don't know if i'd have the heart to bite off their little kitty noses!!

  4. You forgot to add that if you wait for the "right time" to statr your diet you will be waiting (read: being and getting more fat)forever. The right time is today, right now, from now on no matter what else is going on.

  6. Love the kitty pizzas! Pizza is my weakness, in any form or shape, and I would not hesitate to bite the kitty's nose and ears right off.

    Have a great weekend, Patrick!
