I hope you enjoy this day, whether you celebrated this weekend or today, with whomever it is you love, like, sorta-dig, tolerate, just met in the elevator; you decide.
If you are insistent on making your valentine treats healthy but aren't sure where to start, let me suggest the following...
Fruit Kebabs Chocolate Dipped; more fruit than chocolate would be healthier. No chocolate would be healthiest but also no fun
Heart Shaped Jello; not anatomically correct heart shaped, that would be gross & hinder your love mojo
Yogurt mixed with, ah never mind yogurt just does not have a role this day, close the refrigerator it'll still be good tomorrow
Chewy Heart Shaped Sugarless Cookies; use your fave sugar substitute of course and to make the pink & extra-chewy incorporate your fave sugarless bubble gum into the recipe. It is valentines day so I recommend Hubba-Bubba
Heart Shaped Pizza; folks if you have not figured it out by now you can shape a pizza crust to fit any holiday theme. Healthy pizza is easy to achieve no matter what the shape
And if your creative glands are dormant, you can't go wrong with a bottle of wine; red of course. Or Wine-Coolers if you prefer. Or Red Horse Malt Liquor if you are lacking creativity & sensitivity.
How Are / Did You Celebrate Valentines Day
Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!
You are hilarious today, Patrick. We are having normal food for today except that the boys will be allowed dessert if we go out to dinner. The place we have reservations at has something called a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Pizza ala mode. If they order it, I will just be watching.
ReplyDeleteAh, cute suggestions!
ReplyDeleteJust love here due to $ issues but that is just fine with me.... I will eat like normal but did get the hubby a cute cupcake! :-)
Happy one to you & your wife!
Nice suggestions. I might have to try some of them!

Wonderful suggestions! We choose, however, not to celebrate this holiday! Well, we do for the kiddo, but the hubby and I, just holds no interest to us. Happy V-day to you though!
ReplyDeleteWe don't really celebrate it. And this year, especially, because my poor husband is prepping for a routine colonoscopy tomorrow! He'll be celebrating with Jello:)
ReplyDeleteNo valentines day treats here today :)
ReplyDeleteThe hubs and i made a deal, he got a big ass TV at Christmas and i get my choice this month! Well, i picked a laptop and a new camera. I think i got a great deal.
Great suggestions, I like the heart shaped pizza idea!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the heart shaped pizza will allow me to feel good about eating it!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the heart-shaped pizza! Thanks for the permission, Patrick. ;-)
ReplyDeleteRed Horse Malt Liquor???? LMAO Nice.
ReplyDeletei agree yogurt doesnt have a place on valentines day. That is funny you brought up fruit kabobs, I made those for the hubby and I for dessert tonight :)
ReplyDeleteFruit kabobs sound amazing. Maybe I'll get an edible bouquet!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great date last night!
My valentine's day is spent trying not to think about how lonely i am.
ReplyDeleteI'm so lame, we are eating in and watching netflix with the babies.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute suggestions! Not healthy at all but my hubby and I have a Taco Bell V-Day tradition. I'll do my best.
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas, Patrick. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMmmm, fruit kabobs - beautiful and healthy. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteGood thinking, Patrick!
ReplyDeleteWe will be having dinner as a family, then my wife and I are going out for dessert (which is cappucino for us!).
Jim got me a belt to help hold up the pants I am slowly shrinking out of. I got him a coffee cup. Romantic, well not really but something we both have asked for. So all is good.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Patrick and and Mrs. Take care and God Bless!!
Patrick, I just came across your blog and am enjoying all the updates, pics and your journey. Keep up the good work. I am going to try the plank challenge!! "Staying MOtivated"
