Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 128 - Phortuitous Photos Plus

Let's get this week off to a relaxed start and spend it in pictures...

Oh, and also another picture riddle.
What oh what do you think this is a picture of? Take a guess.
I'll reveal the answer tomorrow, or earlier if someone guesses correctly; which they should...

This week our cats received some catnip. These two (Crush {left} & Zinger) were clawing at the freshly sprinkled carpet...

This is just 2 miles away from home. Who loses a turtle, and posts LOST when they do? Wondering if this is just a joke...

Spoons, ever played? Here I am (see my knees) taking a shot of our game Saturday at a family gathering...

Darts, we love darts; Andrew & bond over darts often.
Here is a pair of pictures of us, oh and Nacho the cat too, engaged in a game of drunken-cricket...

For the love of all that is... Argh, Too Bright! Turn It OFF!...

Have a great Monday everybody!!

  1. Hi Patrick,
I think the picture is of a street and curb. Maybe where you walk. I sometimes forget to look at the weight loss gage at the top of your blog. Wow! Great job. And how do you get up so early and post? 4:45??

  2. LOST:
    1 beer belly.
Patrick is offering a reward if anyone has seen it lying around. He clearly lost it sometime in the last few weeks....

    :-)

  3. Is is boards on a deck? If pushed, I'd guess a composite board (Trex?). Love the family pix. Lost tortoise??

  4. I would guess a sidewalk curb too but I am thinking if it is that obvious, I am wrong!

As for turtles, we had them as a kid & I have seen lots of news stories on them. I think it is more common than we all think.... it is cute! :-)

OK, I love all that fun in the pics!!!

PS: Thx for your comment today & glad to be hear with you too!

  5. I'm with Tish, some sort of boards....maybe the siding on your house?? That would probably be vinyl siding, though, huh?? Anyway, that's my guess. I love that your family plays games, I love games...although I have never played spoons, looks interesting!

  6. This is kitchen tile. We have a turtle and she is most awesome and if she were lost, I might be tempted to post such a picture. Some people keep larger turtles in their back yard and the can get out if you get a gap in fence or such. Plus some turtles are actually very good at digging holes. You knew? Not me until we became part of the turtle few. Our turtle actually comes when you call it. Quite funny really.

  7. Looks like ceramic tiles and the grout line between them?

  8. Bingo! Dr. Fit & Deb both nailed it, ceramic tile floor. I thought this one would be easier than the previous two I put up. Well done!

Michael, I am not getting up at 445am to exercise so getting the post up at that time seems like the thing to do.

Christine, thanks for your comment re; LOST my beer gut, I got a good smile and chuckle from that. Can't say I want it back so the reward will be small if someone finds it, thanks for noticing :-)

Tish, I have learned that game play, be it board games, cards, darts, billiards, shooting hoops, etc... create amazing opportunities to stay in touch with your kids, bond with them and be there more for them.

  9. Who is the skinny guy in the American flag shirt??

  10. I would have guessed siding on a house. I LOVE spoons, haven't played in years though. Next time I have company I'm playing for sure. Ever tried "farkle"? a dice game? I might have asked you that before already but look it up think it would be a family favorite too.

  11. I was going to guess tile with the grout line in between so yay i was right!!

I've never played Spoons? Im sure DH has...have to go ask him. We play a lot of Uno and board games with the kids.

  12. Love the pictures today Patrick. And I LOVE cats but I'm allergic to them so you are very lucky to have them! You are looking great too.

  13. Love the cats, Patrick. Ours have a catnip addiction too. Thanks for your comments on my blog and thanks for being so excited! And you're totally right -- this has to be fun. I don't want to waste any time being miserable. Perhaps a little pout every once in awhile, but not miserable :-)
