Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 135 - Snap To It

No exercise for me Sunday, decided to take a day of rest. Felt good, and needed. It's back to the exercise today for me.
These photos were snapped the last few days, thought I'd share.
Some are health related, all are fun related. Fun I tell you, getting healthy is FUN...

Have an idea what this is a picture of? Yep, another picture riddle, so take a guess if you dare.
I'll reveal the answer tomorrow, or earlier if someone guesses correctly...
-_-
This was at the family gathering a couple weekends back;
somebody wanted my chair and I couldn't comprehend such nonsense.
-_-
The time is now, for new walking/jogging shoes that is.
So many of you have talked about your new shoes, Asics have been chatted up the most it seems.
I chose a pair of Asics GT-2150, they were the only pair of Asic's the store had in a 4E Width.
I've worn them out & about to break them in, they get their maiden exercise voyage this week.
-_-
This tomato and feta salad was part of our anniversary dinner with my wife Saturday night. Simple and tasty!
I also took a picture of my entree but the picture came out looking dull and disgusting, the complete opposite of the actual dish; it was awesome...
A grilled Cobia fillet with a bacon & jalapeno sauce. Not sure what Cobia is, a tasty warm water ocean yummy-fish.
It is also known as Black Salmon although it's skin is what is black, the flesh is white, firm and similar to Salmon. Here is a pic of the fish...

-_-

Need more food porn, Ok, there is our dinner last night.
Halibut pan seared in garlic infused olive oil with a side of Green Beans tossed in Onions and a bit of Bacon (yes, I has a touch of bacon twice this weekend).
-_-
What, still not enough? Tough crowd you are...
Here was dessert last night, a treat shared to us by Karla.
Greek Yogurt, Apples (Fuji) & Cinnamon - So simple yet an amazing trio of flavors, perfect for dessert.
-_-
A guilty pleasure of mine this weekend while I was hanging with my wife while she shopped for a bridesmaid dress.
Saturday I took her to Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom's, Carson's, and multiple locations of them, I needed some GUM!
-_-
Speaking of my wife there she is arriving to a soccer game last week. I was sitting in the top row of the bleachers.
She ascended the stairs to join me which shows how far she has come in healing from surgery nearly 4 weeks ago.
-_-
My daughter also came to the game, but would she sit by me? Nope, not until told too. Teenagers!
-_-

For those who need a cat picture fix, here is Nacho. He seeks flat surfaces to sleep on most of the time.
Here he is on my dresser. He'd be sleeping if I had left him be.
Need another? Here you go, sleeping on what will be our wedding gift to Brian & Eileen...
-_-

That's it, all I have for this Monday. Have a great day, great week.

  1. That picture riddle is clearly a picture of my leg.
    Spider veins. Can't help it.
Plus, I need to shave again! Bah!

  2. Picture is Pepper Jack Cheese molded into your leg...I accept checks and cash...

  3. What they said. Say, does Bazooka still have the Bazooka Joe cartoon included? Or did I just come across like an old fart by asking that question? Teens don't want to sit by me either, a sure sign of age ...

  4. Marble floor.
FYI it is important to take a rest I only work out 5 days out of the week. The body needs its downtime.

  5. Did I ever tell you I love your blog. Your photos, your sense of humor and your writing style keep me coming back every morning!!!

I have no idea what the top pic is. It looks like the edge of a granite counter top, or maybe even a hot dog with spices in it! Lol!

I also have Asics shoes. They are AWESOME.

I love your kitty. He is soooo cute!

    Have a great day!

  6. Hmm, wouldn't have guessed a 'leg' theme to these guesses, interesting. Is there such a thing as 'leg cheese'?

Ann, YES, there are Bazzoka Joe cartoons still, and that is why I bought it. So I could read the cartoons to my wife as we drove from store to store. Not so sure she enjoyed them as much as I did.

Marble & granite, good guesses there. Not correct but I do see how the smoothness could have led you to those guesses.

Carla, ditto, a big fan of your blog too, on my way there now to read up on your 'Carb hangover!'

  7. LOVE this pics & that kitty!!!! As for the apple/yogurt.. so pretty but I just cut it up & dunk it in but first sprinkle the cinnamon on the apple.. I am so lazy BUT there is something to have a pretty plate of food! :-)

So glad your wife is better!

AND, I have flat as a pancake, wider than wide WITH bunions feet so I understand!!! My bunions rip out the side of my shoes where they are after a few months...

  9. I'm guessing a baseball bat. I am really hungry now reading through this post...everything just looks so good... even the Bazooka gum. I haven't had that in YEARS!

  10. Liverwurst? lol..
    Food porn...ha!
    Happy Anniversary!

  11. Is there such a thing as leg cheese?
    There is now!

  12. Ah, the Liverwurst guess I wouldn't of expected; and I dislike Liverwurst allot :-)

Baseball bat huh, yeah I can see where you see that...

It is not a squash, but if I had to pick one of the above guesses for being closest to right, squash would be closest. Although it would be too rough to accept this item in squash flavor.

  13. It's some kind of berry smoothie.

    Ugh - leg cheese!

  14. I guess strawberry smoothie.

  17. The smoothie guesses seem pretty good, but I'm thinking it's poison ivy on your leg you got from all those park walks.

They have head cheese so there probably a leg cheese too!

  18. The first thought that came to my mind was smoothie so i'm going to go with that :)
Our cat has to lay on books, in fact he's got his own on the couch between the hubs and i!!
The wife's looking good, so glad she's healing from the surgery.

  19. My first choice was skin from a leg too lol but then relooking I could see a squash too lol. I'm just not good at this game lol. I love asics, I keep thinking about a new pair for the marathon but man I'm cutting it close thinking about it just 7 weeks from race day, hmmmmm. Yea, I won't give up my favorite chair either lol. That's a pretty fish I feel sad for him. Oh try a bit of peanut butter in that greek yogurt for the apple dipping, mmmm to die for, I put in a bit of splenda too, yum yum.

  20. Looks like your leg to me :-)

  21. Smoothie variation--I think it's a fro-yo bar, strawberry. There's a WW strawberry bar that I love that looks just like that.
Enjoy your new shoes. I love new running shoes--it feels like running on a cloud. Your wife is really doing well to be able to stand up to a marathon shopping day AND climb bleachers. Have a good week.

  22. Your cat wants to be king of the hill.
