Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 114 - Blog With Substance

Welcome to a new week everyone.

What do you have planned for your success this week?

Myself, EXERCISE, 4x this week minimum. EATING, balanced & sensibly portioned meals & snacks daily. FUN, if it aint fun I don't want to do it this week; sorry non-fun-stuff not this week. BLOG, The past week with all that has gone on at home I have not been as attentive to your blogs as I like, that changes today!

Thank you to my friend Marie at And then the refreshments come... for honoring me with this Blog With Substance Award!

Rules, the rules for the award are as follows:

1. Sum up your blogging philosophy, motivation, and experience in 5 words:
Hmm, sum up three things in five words; Ok, I like a challenge. Boisterous, Forthright, Tenacious, Enumerating, and Quintessential.

2. Pass it on to 10 other Amazing blogs:
I could honor so many many bloggers here. But I'll put up just 10 here somehow, enjoy the award folks, my pleasure to honor you!
Allan @ ALMOST GASTRIC BYPASS
Julie @ Julie Lost And Found
Suzi @spunkysuzi working towards a healthier me
Clyde @ The Clydesdale Project
Tish @ Incremental Improvements
Vickie @ Vickie's Voice
Bobbie @ Anonymous Fat Girl
Manda Panda @ Candyland to Bandland
Trina @ Dropping the pounds, Picking up my life!!
Rapunzel @ In Pursuit of my Inner Pin-up

There, TEN... 10 of nearly 100 I follow and am so grateful to share my days with.

As noted yesterday my son & I went to the Cubs game. They lost, 11-4, typical for me attending a game. I had trouble uploading pics from the stands yesterday, all I got off was the sunflower seed shot; so I didn't take many pics as it were. But here are a few from the game...

The famous Wrigley Field manually operated scoreboard. This was before the game started and they put up all of the zeros the Cubs were producing...

This embarrassingly I must share was my seat at the game; look at the damn I-Beam pole in front of me? When I got the tickets from Stub-Hub there was no reference at all to Limited View seating. None. Argh...

Last but not least, there is Andrew on the 'L' train texting who knows which of a handful of bff's... Notice his shirt if you can, "Failure Is Not An Option"; Amen to that...

  8. Patrick, thanks for listing my blog!!!! :)

I grew up in northern Indiana and have attended my fair share of Cubby games and I must say your post made me long for that. Hubby still hasn't made it to one, so I need to drag him down there! :)

  9. Working out 4 times this week is a positive goal. For me the only way I can take off these pounds of mine is to workout and sweat the pounds off. Good luck to you!

  12. Hi Patrick! Thank you so much for the blog award!! I am thinking of my list of words and look forward to passing it on. :)

This is going to be a busy week for me. My plans are to eat healthy, walk every day, and make significant progress in getting my daughter ready to leave for Spain. I know..not much fun in there, but well, my birthday is Saturday so maybe then? I want to see "Eat Pray Love" at the theaters..we'll see.

  13. Hey Patrick, Thanks for the award! I think I"ll adopt your goal of being more regular at blogging. I've been a bit of a slacker recently at getting new posts up. I also need to weed out some pesky munching weeds that are trying to spring up during my day. Hope the recovering wife is doing well. Sounds like you're doing the parenting thing very nicely!
