Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 257 - Riddle Some Dunham

What do you say we end the year with a picture riddle... I don't think this one is too hard, but then again I know what it is. Take a look, take a guess, have some fun.

Yesterdays exercise was cardio, another 4 mile walk outdoors. I timed myself for the final mile to see if I had a PR in me, been quite a while since I've timed myself. Finished mile number four in 14:51 minutes, just walking; no jogging this day... put that PR up on the board, shaved over 1/2 minute over the last time I just walked a mile.

How are you folks out east doing with the recent snow storms? We have nothing to really complain about weather wise in the midwest. Sure some snow, sure some cold air; but nothing like what you folks are dealing with. It was a brisk 20F morning for yesterday's walk. Took the below shot with 1/2 block to go on this walk. My house is the one there with the American flag; sadly it is the only house within eye-shot that flys the flag every day this planet spins around the sun...

Looking to hit the weights today and get in some more cardio too. Trying to finish the year strong while also sweating past any damage I may have done over the long weekend. Also taking advantage of being home this week.

Last night was family fun night; as part of our Christmas gift to our kids, their grand parents & my sister in laws family we took them to see Jeff Dunham. If you don't know this comedian, check out some of his website or his act on youtube. If you do know Jeff, then you won't be surprised that we had a blast. My throat & sides are sore from laughing so much.

Are you finishing 2010 strong & having fun doing it?

  2. Sounds like you had a wonderful holiday, Patrick. Good for you on the cardio exercise. I'm making plans to get going that I hope I will be able to follow through with. We got a lot of snow in the mountains but our house is down in the valley and we don't have much left now. It is all but gone. Hoping it will warm up a little during the next few days. My guess on the riddle is an air vent of some kind.

  3. The riddle looks like the air vent on a computer. But it could also be a shower drain or a very flat stripey hat that some dude left in the middle of the street...whoooo knoooooows?

  4. I love Jeff Dunham. He's hilarious. Glad you had fun. I think it's a car air vent. Have a great New Year!

  6. Patrick, I think it is the front dash of a car. You are going strong. I have replaced my treadmill as of two days ago, so I feel I can start again ready as ever. glad you had a nice Christmas. hope you have a Happy New Year. You are very inspiring and I thank you for that. smiles.

  7. Patrick - finishing strong & you go!!!! You show the cold weather people that you can still exercise outside! Big congrats!

I am finishing good! Even with the back injury 2 weeks ago, I still worked thru it no matter how hard it was & now so close to that 100%. I am doing everything I could do before that mishap & feeling good!

  8. Merry December 29th, Patrick! I'm sorry that we were unable to meet up while I was in Illinois, but I should be back out in that area for a very brief trip (visiting my parents, and a wedding in Janesville) in July or August. Maybe we can meet then! Sounds like you had a great holiday! Merry Christmas!

Great job on finishing the year out strong!! Not always easy to do!

For the riddle - is it a vent on the dash of a car?

  10. Finishing out 2010 with 54 pounds lost and lots and lots of good and healthy changes made. Unfortunately I'm ending the year with a back problem. Fourth injury this year! Hoping 2011 will be injury free.

Sounds like you are doing great!! Keep it up and stay focused!!
