Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 333 - I'm Gett'n It In w/ Andrea

Looking forward to this evening. The weather will be decent, 50F after work, swweeettttt!

And with the time change to DST it will now be light out late enough for me to return to Lake Andrea for some outdoor cardio. Folks that is HUGE news to me, worthy of an Oh Yeah!

Lake Andrea is where I notched many a NSV last summer & fall. I am excited about my weekly return to dance with the challenge that is Lake Andrea's 2.25 loop.

What opportunities do the longer & warming days bring you in your effort to get & stay healthy?

A quick picture duo from my Albuquerque...
Tex-NewMex Platter...

Beef Rib Platter...

No mystery why my time away saw me gain ten spins on the scale!

  1. Way too messy and muddy to be able to do much outside here :( Hope you have fun!

  2. Weatherwise, I'll be alright for the next month or so but after that, it's all indoor for me. I just can't exercise when it's over 100 outside. It's supposed to be 90 today which is still do-able. Funny how things switch up depending on where you live, eh?

  3. Oooooh. Being outside at all sounds like fun.

It can be hard to eat correctly when things are abnormal, different and stressful. Keep trying gently. You're getting there.

  4. Note to self do not read Patrick's food blogs before breakfast! I wonder what rib place is open before 9am. I'm also very excited about the longer/later days and nicer weather. It's been in the 50s but now it's back to freezing at night.

  5. Ha, yea. All I was thinking was, this is the reason you gained. I always get worried when people go missing for a while. They tend to fall off the wagon.

  8. It will be about 50 here in MN, too. For me that means BIKING days are not too far off! Your lake loop is similar to mine (Lake Harriett). Mine being a little longer: 3.3 miles.

  9. The weather has been nice in my area too! I've also been able to do some outdoor cardio because of the time change. It's been so nice to be outside!
