Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 93 - Could It Be...

Another week is underway. I'm committing to a very good week of eating & exercise. Sure, I have tried to make the past thirteen good ones and they have been. This week is no different really with one exception; it is the week before the family & I go on vacation.

We all know the challenges and risks that vacations bring to us who are trying to lose weight and get healthy. I intend to be healthy on vacation, but I also know there will be some indulgence and I am Ok with that. I just figure I owe it to myself to have a solid week pre-vacation. I'll share more about our vacation plans later in the week.

Saturday I got in some good exercise while in Wisconsin. We walked all over a 60 acre property of farm land, fields and woods. We came to terms on the sale so now we order the survey, involve the the lawyer and hopefully we'll own it in a couple of months just in time for deer hunting season.

Plenty of steep hills and challenging terrain to make the legs tired by end of day, and they were Saturday. Yesterday I got in a good 3.6 mile walk on my Neighborhood Loop II, that walk was a challenge just due to the 92F degree heat. When the walk was over all I wanted was water and lots of it. A liter and an hour later I got around to looking at the watch and discovered the new PR for a one mile time of 16:15 minutes, shaving 14 seconds off my last one mile best. I didn't come close to my PR for the whole loop however.

The picture up there, could it be... I took that shot last week and almost forgot about it. Last week I listed out a few riddles for your pondering pleasure and I think we had fun with them. This week we'll try a visual riddle.

Any idea what it is?

Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!

  1. I think it is Cake frosting, neatly patterned on the corner of a 5 foot cake. I am eating it slowly, enjoying the fresh yellow cake, the buttercream and the fresh pudding that has been layered inside of it. I slowly sip a glass of chocolate milk, and await this neat next piece with the pretty lines dug into it.....
    Am I close ??

  2. Hi Patrick,
I am jealous of your deer hunting property! Wow, that must be really exciting. I never have been to Wisconsin, but I bet it is really pretty. As to your riddle......Maybe a close up picture of your car fender or hood?

And I think its a hoot that you know that Steve McQueen quote!

  3. Guitar strings??? I am bad at this too! :-)

Keep up the great work Patrick!!! You did it even with the heat!

Exciting on your new piece of land! Can I have a small sliver of it?? :-)

  4. Allan, you have got me so hungry for dessert here at 745am... but sorry, not close my friend.

Luke, you were the riddle master last week. Put a blind fold on and look at it again.

Michael, yes excited about the land and the upcoming hunting season. Your guess is closer that Allan's. Steve McQueen, definitely a man's man there.

  5. Jody... nice guess with guitar strings, but I'd still say Michael has had the best guess so far. We'll name a hill on the property Jody's Hill in your honor.

  6. Great - now I want some cake!

    I think it's lines from a treadmill.
After I flop down on the floor, right after I work out.
    Right along the base.

  7. The name Muckwonago always makes me want to giggle! Aren't there some good canoeing lakes in that area? Muskego Lake, Potter Lake, and whatnot? Anyway, great job getting plenty of exercise!! How exciting to be looking at property to purchase! I dream of the day I can do the same thing, although my second property will hopefully be in Vermont somewhere!

  8. "Put a blind fold on and look at it again." I think Patrick is giving us a clue.......maybe a baseball hat visor?

  9. Anne, you definitely get a nod for creative/detailed guesswork. Not a treadmill. I'd say you and Michael have equally come up with the best guess here now.

Christine, to the east is where we'd see lakes like Castle Rock and Petenwell along the Wisconsin river system which I bet would offer great canoing. LOL, Muckwonago - reminds me of the Garfield cartoon and his Camp EatAWatchYouWanna

  11. I have no idea on the visual, but you have some good guesses so far. I have not walked in a few weeks due to the heat here. It is 97 here today with the heat index around 107. Good luck with your farm. We brought 40 acres and put a mobile home on it a couple of years ago for my husband to hunt on. We also lease 500 hundred acres. He likes to hunt.

  12. So, from the guesses I will tell you that it is not from a cake, fender, guitar strings, hood, treadmill, or a hat visor... all very good & creative guesses. I wish I hadn't poste this as I would like to take a guess :-)

But I did post it, I know what it is and will show you in tomorrows post what it is.

Perhaps a bit of a hint... I know the picture is a cell phone picture and its quality can make it hard to tell some details like the color.

To me it looks like it is white, perhaps bleached or something. But it is silver in color.

More? Ok, this photo is of an area of just about 4 inches square of the overall object. The overall object is not square and is many many times larger that 4"x4".

More? Ok, before I go sit in on a meeting I will leave you with one more hint, it usually not used by anyone, but when used is normally used by more than one person but certainly could be used by just one.

    Later ;-)

  13. A fancy hanky that the suits wear ??
    Why you make us wait!?
    I know - it's overalls?
    Silver overalls!

  14. Congrats on your new property...I'm sure you and the family will make many new and happy memories...same some venison for me!

I'm guessing that it is a networking server? You and I are computer geeks after all.

Hmm...but it could also be a piece of workout equipment...toughie.

  16. Hehe- you said "overall" twice -
But you said they looked "bleached"
    Sooooo - "bleachers" is it!
    (I read ahead!)
