Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 375 - Answers, Questions, And...

source
It dawned on me last night that I never provided the answers to last weeks riddles & such. So quickly here are the answers are should anyone have been waiting for them and wish to refer back to the questions...
1- The castle photo was a trick question as it really isn't a castle. It is the 'Castle Entrance' to the cemetery that is across the street from where I lived in the 70's. My sister should have recognized that!
2- President John Adams
3- Alfonso IX of León, King of León & Galicia
4- No Excuses
5- This was a joke, so there was no answer :-)

Ok, that bit of business over, I have a new set of questions for you; not as playful, a bit more serious, but every bit as fun...

1- When was the last time you exercised and were you satisfied with your effort?
2- Do you find Angel Food cake easy or hard to pass up?
3- Salad dressings, do you do the right thing by eating salads but misuse salad dressing?
4- Twinkie The Kid versus King Ding Dong, in a cage match to the death, which one wins?
5- Tanning booths, is increasing the chances of skin disease/cancer tomorrow worth the risk to get a great tan today?
6- Are you going to achieve your dreams of living healthy, living long, living happy?

Final thought for the day; it is said you become what you think about. Hmmm, can anyone dispute that?

Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!

10 comments:

  1. 1- Maybe 3 weeks ago. I did a P90X video with the husband and really worked up a sweat!
    2- Easy to pass on
3- I suppose that depends on my mood. I can misuse salad dressings, sure, but my favorite dressing is red wine vinegar+lemon juice, which is 0 calories! My downfall is trying to limit the cheese and croutons in my salad.
    4- Twinkie!
5- I like tanning, but I don't do it very often. For the mood boost, it's totally worth it!
6- Fuck yes!!! :-) Live the dream, baby!

    OK - on to answers:

    1. I already did my workout today! IT was awesome!
    2. Yes, angel food cake is easy for me to pass up - if berries on top - I go for those!
    3. I don't do salads because for me - it was the veggies I liked, not the lettuce so I just have veggies now & no temptation of overdoing the dressing. ;-)
    4. Of these two, I would go Ding Dong BUT I really loved the hostess crumb coffee cakes!
    5. I used to do them - no more & not for a long time.
    6. I am living healthy & happy - I hope long but as we all know, even healthy people can be struck with crap!

I am a cookie & PB based on what I am thinking now! ;-)

  5. 1. Honestly, I can't remember.
    2. Easy, I never have liked it.
    3. I make my own salad dressing, thus avoiding the sugar and using good fat. Even at that I don't use very much because I'm not wild about it.
    4. Twinkie the Kid!! I was Twinkie in the homecoming parade one year in college. Twinkie has to win.
    5. No tanning beds for me.
    6. Yes, yes, yes!!

  6. 1. My 5k 3 weeks ago and yes very satisfied with the effort. Very UNSATISFIED that I haven't worked out since but that's about to end...
    2. Easy Peasy
    3. I rarely eat salads anymore but I admit to misusing the dressing.
    4. Twinkies baby!
    5. I prefer being white as a ghost thank you very much (You know in Victorian times, it was unladylike to have a tan...I was totally born in the wrong century)
    6. Absolutely! No doubt in my mind!

    Great questions!

  7. 1. I haven't really done any formal exercise in quite a while and I'm not satisfied with myself. However, yesterday I did some household chores and some yard work that was fairly strenuous and I am pleased about that.
    2. Don't care that much for cake really
3.I do misuse salad dressing, though I don't pile heaps of starches and fats on my salads anymore. I've simplified to just a mixture of greens and use light or fat free dressings.
    4. Twinkies, of course
    5. I prefer to tan the natural way and to soak up some vitamin D while I'm doing it. I use moderation and I've never once used a tanning bed or booth.
    6. I absolutely hope so.:)

  8. 1. Yesterday. Not satisfied. I felt unwell, but plugged on. Very satisfied with both effort and variet of Tuesday's though. :)

2 Angel food is EASY to pass on.

3.I often skip dressings and just dump my protein on top (cheese or chicken or steak). That adds flavor. When I do use dressing, I measure.

    4. Ding Dong FTW!

    5. I have a naturally gorgeous tan skin tone. Don't need a tanning booth OR the beach. :D Thanks, Dad, for the melanin.

    6. I am gonna give it a helluva shot.

  9. 1. I was very satisfied with my workout today. I was an extra workout (Wednesdays are off days). I did 60 minutes of cardio just because I had time. 605 calories gone.
    (I'm skipping some questions)
    5. I used to tan. I've stopped over the past few years. I do spend a lot of time at the pool in the summer, with sunscreen and I've recently started using that Jergens natural glow lotion. It's awesome.
    6. I am achieving my dreams of happy, healthy, and long life!

  10. 1. Today. Every day I sweat I am satisfied.
    2. Easy. It's like eating air.
    3. I do pretty well with this.
    4. DING DONG. The old ones. The new ones aren't as good.
    5. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Tan is bad. Tan=mutation of skin cells. Every time you do that there's a chance one goes rogue. My grandmother died at 54 from melanoma. Tanning beds? NO WAY!!
    6. YES!
