Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 202 - Tagged With Enthusiasm

Going to keep it brief and fun today...

Fruit Count: 103 - We have collectively eaten 100 pieces of fruit the past three days. Just past /2-way to our goal of 199 now. More putting of fruit into our mouths people, let it drip all down your chin & arms; eat fruit with passion and shout out how many pieces you eat today!

Dr. Fat To Fit tagged me the other day with four questions. I am to answer them and then ask 4 others a different set of questions. I love a good game, so with Enthusiasm; my word for today; here we go... Here are her questions for me:

1) If you could be any animal, what would you choose?
Eagle - An amazing combination of grace & power that I can't imagine possessing. And the ability to fly - schwwinnngggg!

2) Name 1 thing you would NOT do, even if I payed you a million bucks?
Dishonor my marriage vows. they say everything has a price, but that is my exception that rule.

3) Name one big news event that made an impact on you other than 9/11. Why and How did it impact you?
Nixon's resignation. I was only 9 years old, but that event opened a young mind to not just the theatre that is politics, but more so to the wonder that is history. I am a political junky (though I won't talk it on my blog) and a history addict. I can trace that addiction back to Nixon.

4) Where did you go or would you like to go on your honeymoon?
Walt Disney World, my wife is addicted to WDW. We also went there for our 10th anniversary. And a few other times in between and since. Getting the picture?

Here are my 4 lucky bloggers...
Kimmi
TheHeavyMan
Keelie
Mertle

Please answer these here or on your blog and and then ask 4 others a different set of questions.

and their questions...
1- You are banished to a small island with seeds to grow one veggie, that's all you get to eat for eternity, which veggy do you choose?
2- Farthest distance at one time you have ever walked/jogged/ran/biked, etc. under your own power?
3- Do you consider Friday the 13th to be unlucky, lucky, or neither?
4- What was the last furry thing you touched? And did you eat it?

Responsibility 199 - Gotta Do It!!

  1. LOL Your questions for the four bloggers are great, Patrick!

You know, I've never been to a Disney property. I should make a trip to Epcot (WDW) one of my mini-goal rewards ... maybe for breaking below 200? Hmmmm, thinking ... thinking ... I'm told Epcot has an International street, where each section is like visiting another country. That sounds interesting to me. I admit, I know nothing whatsoever about the various themed parks at WDW, even what is offered, really. Maybe 2011 will be the year. Someone told me to allow a day for Epcot. I wonder what hotels would be convenient to it - I'll have to scope it out some time.

As for your answers, I think your answr # 2 gets a "schwwinnngggg!" too (or will) ...

Have a happy, enthusiastic day, Patrick!

  5. Great questions and great answers. Thanks. I remember the Nixon resignation and I was only 2. But I actually remember the family gathered at the TV and seeing him give the speech. Weird huh? Fruit for today: banana, pear, watermelon, apple.

I too love disney and I'd go every vacation if my husband would allow and MONEY. It's not cheap. We're planning another go either spring or summer next year. Gotta take the girls again and the niece is 15 and never been. Gotta get her down there before she's way too cool to travel w/ Mom and Aunt.

  6. I wouldn't touch politics online either, but admit that I am pretty apolitical. I do remember a bit about Nixon from growing up. I even remember mock elections in school and NOT voting for him:)

  8. Mandy! Mandy! The musical Fruit! The more she eats, the more she toots!

I had only 6 servings today. After I talked to Mandy, I thought I needed to squeeze in a coupla more for sibling rivalry's sake. However, when I got off my duff and stood up at 8:30 I had the biggest loudest most flavorfull watermelon burp of my life. That's when I decided I'm done for the day.

  9. Next time to go to Mickeyland, give me a shout and we'll meet you! WDW is only an hour from our Ormond house. :)

  10. I came over from The Heavy Man's Diary. It seems that pounds wise we are on relatively the same track.

I'm a poli geek too. My political junkiness was born with the Carter/Ford race. I remember waking up the next morning and asking who won.
