Responsibility 199, what is it?

Responsibility 199 is a belief; I believe that to be healthy and to increase my longevity I need to weigh 199 pounds or less...
Responsibility 199 is a need; I need to reduce my weight, reduce my percentage of body fat, and the elevated threat of disease my present condition presents...
Responsibility 199 is a mission; I recognize that achieving 199 will be a challenge, perhaps the hardest I have ever undertaken...
Responsibility 199 is a commitment; I acknowledge that I must commit to action, commit to change, commit to myself and those I love to achieve this mission, to increase my longevity...
Responsibility 199 is ME.

Day 411 - Information Is Insightful

Had a conversation yesterday that included some seldom used, unusual words. Basically this person was using 25-cent words to try and impress others, it didn't work. Does it ever?

That said, it can be fun to see some of these words, and wonder, huh? To convey that, you came up with 'that' as a word for it? Some of my favorites...

Tachyphagia, to eat very fast... I am definitely guilty of Tachyphagia, I know, it is tacky to eat fast.

Pyknic, to be short and fat... I am fat, not short, is there a word for that?

Farctate, to have overeaten & feel stuffed... been there, done that. I also tend to farctate when stuffed & blame it on the cats.

Callypygean, to have well shaped buttocks. Me not so much. You?

Tetrapyloctomy, the act of splitting a hair four ways. Really? Who does this?? I could see if it were a hare, but an hair?

So, fun & insightful?
Or fun & not so much?

I wasn't sure what image to use for this post, when in doubt, I figured it safe to bring out PBR man to save the day.

  4. I am not too thrilled with people that use fancy words just trying to impress people - drives me crazy! I understand some just talk that way but we know the ones that are doing it for show... I did learn something from your post today though! Love that farctate word! ;-)
